This is me now. Hello, my name is Sam Braithwaite.
My Dad brought his camera everywhere and documented our family growing up. I was always taken by how much his pictures spoke to me. The emotive looks, the stories within, the contrasts of subject and space. Without those pictures, there are so many memories that would have been washed away in the tides of time. This is why I take photographs, and now, through chronicling my own family and friends, my passion became my work. Moments matter and I would like to help you capture the moments that matter to you.

My first photography teacher. Everybody sees the big moments in their lives, but he always seemed to capture the little ones too. The seconds before and after the smile, the picture behind the picture. Like one long 'behind the scenes' documentary of life at large. Many things inspire me and make impressions on my artistic style but the emotive power of his photos is what lies at the epicentre of what I do. Eternal thanks to him, and all the people that take the time to capture life's fleeting moments.
